Except for your email address, first name, last name & time zone, Conceptworld does not collect or require end-users of Notezilla.Net Service to furnish Personal Information.
“Non-Personal Information” is information that cannot by itself be directly associated with a specific person or entity. Non-Personal Information includes but is not limited to your computer’s configuration and the version of Notezilla app you use.
“Potentially Personal Information” is information that is Non-Personal Information in and of itself but that could be used in conjunction with other information to personally identify you. For example, Uniform Resource Locators (“URLs”) (the addresses of web pages) and Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses (the addresses of computers on the internet) can be Personal Information when combined with internet service provider (“ISP”) records. Also license information is an example of Potentially Personal Information.
“Operational Data” means aggregated data regarding users’ usage of the Services, such as access log data (such as data about when people access the service and with what piece of software), how many records of each type users were creating in aggregate (such as how many notes & contacts users have created and synced). Conceptworld collects Operational Data to help us so that we can ensure that we have sufficient storage to meet user needs and otherwise to help with the operations of the Services.
“Usage Statistics” refers to the Non-Personal Information Conceptworld will use to understand your use of the Service. Such information may include but is not limited to the amount of data you are storing with the service, the frequency with which you access the service, bandwidth utilization, and traffic shaping.
“User Data” is the digital content stored on, manipulated, and transmitted to and from Conceptworld’s servers by means of your use of Notezilla.Net. Examples of User Data include those items that you choose to synchronize across devices using Notezilla.Net, such as your notes, contacts & preferences.
Gathering, Use and Disclosure of Transmission Data
Before you are able to access Notezilla.Net, you will be required to register. To register, the Service will require the following Personal Information and Potentially Personal Information from you: your first name, last name, email address, and password. Conceptworld will not make any of this information public. The first name & last name will be shown only to another user trying to add you as their contact. All data are transferred to Conceptworld using encryption called SSL. Your email address is used by us to provide you the services, such as allowing us to help you recover your account if you lose your password. (Feel free to use an email account set up just for using Notezilla.Net Service if you’d like.) Your password is transferred to Conceptworld using SSL encryption but is only retained by Conceptworld’s servers in a hash format (which means a low level of encryption is applied).
Once you have registered, your password is used to help prevent unauthorized access to your account.
Your data is only used to provide Notezilla.Net service and for email communication (service and promotional related).
Encrypted User Data
The Notezilla.Net Service encrypts User Data on your computer and uploads encrypted User Data over the network using SSL communication. Those items you choose to synchronize across devices using Notezilla.Net are examples of User Data that is designed to be encrypted before leaving your computer. These can include your notes, contacts & settings.

To safeguard your privacy, the Notezilla.Net Service is purposely designed so that the amount of data that Conceptworld has access to is limited, either by encryption or not collecting it in the first place. This is why User Data and your password are either encrypted before being sent to Conceptworld’s servers or not sent to Conceptworld’s servers at all. And this is also why Conceptworld doesn’t collect other information at all like gender or phone number. For that set of information that Conceptworld does have, Conceptworld only makes Personal Information and Potentially Personal Information available to its employees, contractors, and selected contributors who signed confidentiality agreements that prohibit them from using or disclosing your Personal Information other than for Conceptworld purposes to provide the Service. Furthermore, Conceptworld will not knowingly disclose Personal Information or Potentially Personal Information to other third parties unless required to do so, such as in order to comply with any law, regulation, or valid legal process, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, court order, or if necessary or appropriate to address an unlawful or harmful activity.

Transfer of Data to the U.S.
Privacy laws and common practices vary from country to country. Some countries may provide for less legal protection of your personal data; others may provide more legal protection. By using the Notezilla.Net Service, you consent to the transfer of the information collected, as outlined by this Policy, to Conceptworld or Conceptworld's Service Providers in the United States, which may provide a lesser level of data security than in your country of residence.
We will retain any information collected for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy unless a longer retention period is required by law and/or regulations.
This policy does not apply to other Conceptworld websites, products, or services. It also does not apply to your use of third-party providers of the Notezilla app or use of non-Conceptworld servers. If you choose to use a Notezilla app or servers provided by an entity other than Conceptworld, this policy does not apply and Conceptworld assumes no liability whatsoever for such services.
If you use Conceptworld’s Notezilla.Net servers and a Notezilla app (meaning the software that resides on your computer that talks to Conceptworld’s servers) that was not developed by Conceptworld, here’s what is different: the third-party client may send different information to our servers and that information may not be encrypted. However, to the extent Conceptworld’s servers receive information sent by a third-party client app, we will only disclose it to third parties to the same extent as we would information that was transmitted to our servers from a Conceptworld-created client app.
